January 2023: Childhood Obesity Month

The January Awareness Campaign is Childhood Obesity. Childhood obesity is a serious disease in the United States where 1 out of 3 children is overweight. Among contributing factors, there are sleep routines, eating patterns, and physical activity levels. Children with obesity are at risk of developing many conditions, including type 2 diabetes and heart disease. 

To addressing obesity, we are sharing some useful resources which parents can implement at home. This information includes proper nutrition and the importance of physical activity.
