The reauthorization of the Head Start Act in 1994 made it possible to establish Early Head Start (EHS) as a program to serve infants and toddlers under the age of 3 and pregnant women. Early Head Start (EHS) provides early, continuous, intensive, and comprehensive child development and family support services to low-income infants and toddlers and their families.

The Coalition has received Early Head Start (EHS) grants which allows us to serve 270 children form 6 weeks old to 3 years of age in the most needed areas of the county. Service areas include the cities of Belle Glade, Pahokee, West Palm Beach, Lake Worth, Delray Beach and Riviera Beach.
