DESCRIPTION:Join us for a 3-session series as we take a journey through the five components of STEAM!\nThis fun and interactive training will leave you with innovative ideas for planning STEAM activities in your classroom while enhancing students’ ability to problem-solve and learn in exciting new ways.\nIn this course\, we will explore: \n-What is STEAM?\n-A deep dive into each component of STEAM: Science\, Technology\, Engineering\, Arts\, and Math\n-Why STEAM is beneficial to young learners\n-Materials that enhance the STEAM learning experience\n-How to plan and facilitate engaging STEAM activities\n-Ways to incorporate STEAM into your learning environment and classroom centers\n-Using STEAM to support social-emotional development through teamwork\n-Hands-on opportunities to practice developing and facilitating STEAM learning experiences \nLet’s become engineers together as we embark on hands-on STEAM activities that allow you to experience STEAM from a child’s perspective! \nAll three sessions (October 13th\, 20th and 27th) will take place in person at the Children Services Council Building:\nClass will start promptly at 6:30pm.
