Professional Learning Community: Emergent Literacy - Virtual Training

Jun 22, 2021 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM

The Professional Learning Community (PLC): Emergent Literacy training engages preschool teachers & directors in collaborative learning experiences to support their use of evidence-based language and literacy strategies when working with young children.  The PLC materials are designed to guide preschool teachers & directors as they collaborate through discussions, engage in hands-on activities, and reflect on their own implementation of strategies learned during the PLC with the support of their peers and facilitators.  The materials for this training include 4 modules: Print Knowledge, Phonological Awareness, Vocabulary, and Oral Language.  Each module includes 3 sessions, for a total of 12 sessions.

Participates will need to print the training material (Participates Guide) prior to the start of the first session, or pick it up from the Palm Springs location. Pick up information dates will be emailed.

This Professional Learning Community (PLC) is open to Preschool, PreK Teachers, and Directors.  20 Spaces are available and selection will be made on a first-come, first-serve basis.
