Child Care Provider Training: Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) Conference 2019!

Family Engagement: This session examines family engagement strategies from initial enrollment to the time a family prepares to leave the early learning/VPK program. Learning will include tips and ideas for everyday engagement that can work for the classroom or front office to keep families connected and supported throughout their child’s educational journey. Support for Kindergarten transition will also be discussed and time for shared peer to peer learning.
Erin Gallagher (VP of Provider Services)
VPK Lesson Planning: In this session, participants will obtain strategies for using the Florida Early Learning and developmental Standards, to create developmentally appropriate, student focused, dynamic (VPK) lesson plans.
Shahida Boykin (Trainer)
VPK Strategies: This training will support Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) teachers in gaining a working knowledge of the STAR Early Literacy Assessment. VPK teachers will become familiar with the language of the STAR Early Literacy Assessment and explore how it is administered to students within the first 30 days of Kindergarten.
