Child Care Licensing & Inspection Reports

Florida's laws and requirements that govern the operation of child care facilities and homes are found in sections 402.26-402.319, 435.04 and 120.60 Florida Statutes (F.S.) and Chapters 65C-20, 65C-22, 65C-25, and 64D-3 of the Florida Administrative Code (F.A.C.).

The Office of Child Care Regulation and Background Screening of the Department of Children and Families (DCF) is statutorily responsible for the statewide administration of the child care licensing program in 62 of the remaining 66 counties in Florida.
