What You Need To Know

Monday, August 31, 2020

Dear VPK Providers,

We hope this email finds you well and settling into the new school year. Please continue to reach out to us if you need assistance. We are here to help!

In this email, you will find additional information about the VPK Flexible Innovative Option Application available for the 2020-21 VPK School Year Program.

The VPK “Flex” Program allows flexible VPK programming to be delivered as an option to the traditional, in-person, face-to-face VPK classroom setting.

The VPK Flex option must align with the Public School Districts’ approved reopening plan. Palm Beach County Public Schools have been approved to offer a flexible option to K-12 students, so this means that private VPK providers in Palm Beach County are allowed to offer a flexible option as well.

The VPK Flex Program has been approved through December 31, 2020 for VPK providers that submit the Assurances and receive approval to offer the Flexible, Innovative Option.

Please note you cannot start VPK Flex until your assurances have been approved by ELCPBC.

HOW TO APPLY

Providers with a certified VPK-20 Contract for Program Year 2020 may now submit their assurances for the VPK Flex program through Florida's Early Learning Provider Services Portal:
