School-Age Children Child Care During Distance Learning

Do you need child care while your school-age children participate during distance learning?

Parents and guardians need to work or attend school, which makes beginning the new school year in distance learning challenging. Palm Beach County received resources from the CARES Act to help offset the impact of COVID-19. After hearing from parents and families, the County wanted to help the community and assist any way they could. The Early Learning Coalition is excited to partner with Palm Beach County and the Youth Services Department to supply child care scholarships for school-age children now through December 30, 2020.

The Palm Beach County School-Age Child Care Scholarship will prioritize families in need, experiencing homelessness, or families who work or attend school and have a household income at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL) Guidelines. For more specific information on eligibility requirements and "how to apply."

If you need child care while your school-age child (Grade K-5th) is participating in distance learning through their elementary school, and you may meet the threshold of this scholarship, please take a moment to apply today.
