Navigating the Upgraded Family Portal


The Family Portal has been upgraded to Single Sign-On. To access your account, follow the steps below. You can also refer to the Family Portal Guide or watch the video tutorial for instructions.


Existing Families


  1. Visit the Family Portal .Click the Sign-In  button.
  2. Click Hosted / Self-Registered login.
  3. Enter your username and password from the Single-Sign-On registration. 
  4. You will be prompted to send a code to your selected method of multi-factor authentication. Retrieve the code and enter it. Then, click the Verify Code button.
  5. Your Family Portal account home page will be displayed.


New Families


  1. Visit the Family Portal . Click the Sign-up button
  2. Enter your valid email address and click the Send Verification Button.
  3. Retrieve the code and enter it on the Portal page. Click the Verify Code button.
  4. Complete the relevant fields.
  5. You will be prompted to send a code to your selected method of multi-factor authentication. Retrieve the code and enter it. Then, click the Verify Code button.
  6. Navigate back to the Family Portal homepage to sign-in.

    Caregivers with children from birth to age 5 are invited to drop in for a pop-up playtime and do a quick developmental check in of their child with Early Intervention Specialists from the Early Learning Coalition of Palm Beach.

ONGOING TRAINING

  • Play & Learn Groups

    Play & Learn Groups will take place every Wednesday, 2:30pm, at the Palm Springs office, and every Wednesday, 11am, at the Port Center office. During these group meetings, children will learn through play, get to practice being with their peers, and spend quality time with their caregivers. All children five years and under are welcome!

  • Parent-Child Interaction Therapy

    The Palm Beach County Youth Services Department Education & Training Center is now offering free Parent-Child Interaction Therapy. Caregivers with children between the ages of 2-8 may be eligible.

  • Infant and Child Safety Month

    We’re joining the national effort to raise awareness and take action to support the health and well-being of our babies. Join us in celebrating Day 366, emphasizing the importance of ensuring every baby reaches their first birthday and beyond.


    What is Infant Mortality?

    Infant mortality refers to the death of a baby before their first birthday. While progress has been made, the United States still has one of the highest infant mortality rates among developed countries. Factors such as access to healthcare, education, and support play a crucial role in improving outcomes for our little ones.


    How You Can Make a Difference

    Supporting new and expectant parents with resources and education is key to reducing infant mortality rates. Here are some ways you can contribute:


    • Learn and Share Information.Educate yourself and others about the importance of prenatal care, safe sleep practices, breastfeeding, and the prevention of birth defects.
    • Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition of Palm Beach County: Provides education, support, and resources for new and expectant mothers. Visit their website at www.hmhbpbc.org.
    • Children’s Services Council of Palm Beach County: Offers programs and services for early childhood development and maternal health. More information can be found at www.cscpbc.org.
    • First 1,000 Days Florida: Focuses on the critical first three years of life, providing resources for parents and caregivers. Learn more at www.first1000daysfl.org.
    • March of Dimes: Offers educational materials, advocacy, and support for families. Visit www.marchofdimes.org.
    • Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC): Provides guidelines and resources on maternal and infant health. Explore resources at www.cdc.gov.
    • Safe to Sleep® Campaign: Promotes safe sleep practices to prevent SIDS and other sleep-related causes of infant death. More details at safetosleep.nichd.nih.gov.
    • The National Healthy Start Association's "Celebrate Day 366" campaign:  Offers resources and support to help families ensure their babies thrive beyond their first year. They focus on reducing infant mortality through education, community involvement, and advocacy. Families can access tools and information to improve maternal and infant health.   • Children Product Recalls

    Children's product recalls are official actions taken to remove unsafe products from the market when they are found to contain defects or hazards, according to the https://www.cpsc.gov/.

  • Drowning Prevention

    The number one cause of drowning in both Palm Beach County and the U.S. is Unsupervised Water Activity. To prevent drowning, non-fatal and other water-related incidents in Palm Beach County, the Drowning Prevention Coalition helps by educating residents on water safety and basic rescue techniques.

  • Resiliency Florida Reading List

    The Florida Department of Education is encouraging students to escape into a good book, where they can meet role models, find hope, witness grit and build their own personal strengths.  On the Resiliency Reading List, you’ll find a list of books that can help increase resilience among students, from pre-kindergarten through grade twelve.
