The ELCPBC's School Readiness Program can help eligible working parents with the cost of child care (frequently called a child care subsidy).

Children in Palm Beach County are eligible from birth to 5 years-old utilizing state-funding, and from birth to 12 years-old utilizing local funding from the Children's Services Council of Palm Beach County. If you and your family meet the eligibility criteria, you may qualify for child care funding under the required eligibility priorities or through a referring agencyMore information here. 

Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) is a free program designed to prepare four-year-old children for kindergarten and build the foundation for their educational success. VPK is available to all four-year-olds that reside in Florida, regardless of family income.

VPK provides an early childhood educational experience that supports the development of early literacy, pre-math skills, scientific thinking, and social and emotional development. More information here. 

CSC Scholarships were created to provide stability and continuity of care for at-risk children who are no longer eligible for state funding – locally prioritizing services for each family unit as a whole. Through our partnership with CSC, we connect these families to high-quality programs participating in the Strong Minds Quality Child Care Network. Within Palm Beach County’s Strong Minds Network, providers are offered support and incentives to meet their goals and improve quality early care and education programs. More information here. 

The Coalition has received Early Head Start (EHS) grants which allows us to serve 270 children form 6 weeks old to 3 years of age in the most needed areas of the county. The Coalition received an Early Head Start (EHS) grant serving 150 children from 6 weeks old to 3 years of age in the most needed areas of the county. Service areas include the cities of Belle Glade, Pahokee, West Palm Beach, Lake Worth, Delray Beach and Riviera Beach. Our free developmental screenings and assessment programs within Palm Beach County provide families an opportunity to ensure their child’s development is healthy. Through screening and assessment, providers and families can find the necessary tools and activities to support each child in meeting age-appropriate milestones. More information here.
